Shandong’s Linyi Wholesale Market Uses a Yongin Base to Grow Two-Way Korea–China Trade
Linyi Shangcheng in Shandong Province, often described as China’s largest wholesale market, is building up Korea as both an export market and a source of imports. Its base in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, called ‘Lanhua Korea’, sells Linyi goods in Korea while helping Korean products enter China.
A base in Yongin and a fair in Seoul
According to an on-site Newspim series on Shandong, Linyi Shangcheng has 136 specialised wholesale markets and more than 63,700 stores handling over 6 million products. Lanhua Korea opened in Yongin in September 2023 with about 15,000 square metres of space. In April 2024 it added a ‘Korean Brand Selection Base’ to help Korean firms enter China.
Lanhua Korea says it served about 300 Linyi exporters in 2025, with related exports above 200 million yuan. At the second Lanhua Korea fair, held for three days from 19 September at SETEC in Seoul, on-site sales exceeded 30 million yuan. The ‘expected deal value’ of more than 100 million yuan is a projection, not signed contracts.
Business Checkpoints
For Korean trading and distribution firms dealing in sundries and household goods, Linyi could serve both as a supplier and as a channel for Korean products into China. Linyi also plans closer links with online platforms such as Coupang, Naver, G-Market, AliExpress and TikTok. However, entry terms, fees and customs arrangements have not been disclosed, and the claim that logistics costs are about 30% below the national average comes from the local side. Firms considering a deal should first confirm the terms directly with Lanhua Korea.
