24th World Korean Business Convention, Sept 28 in Songdo, Incheon (3 days)
About 3,000 overseas Korean entrepreneurs and Korean business leaders to attend · Registration opens June 1 via the Overseas Koreans Agency
To help Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) enter overseas markets and to build cross-generational, cross-sector networks between overseas Korean entrepreneurs and Korean business leaders, the Overseas Koreans Agency will hold the "24th World Korean Business Convention" over three days, September 28–30, at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
Launched in 2002 to expand Korean SMEs' opportunities abroad and to broaden the domestic and international business networks of overseas Korean entrepreneurs, the convention is Korea's largest SME business event. Held annually since the first edition, rotating through Korean regional cities, it has supported the overseas expansion of outstanding Korean SMEs.
This year's convention will draw about 3,000 business leaders from home and abroad (1,000 from overseas, 2,000 domestic). It is Incheon's third time hosting, after 2009 and 2018, and the first at Songdo Convensia in eight years. The host city was confirmed at the 23rd convention's steering committee held in Atlanta, USA, last April, and this is also the first international event held in Incheon since the Overseas Koreans Agency was established in June 2023. As part of World Korean Week, this year's event is linked with the World Korean Association Presidents' Convention, the World Korean Next Generation Convention, and the Korean Festival.
Company exhibition hall · one-on-one business consultations and more
The program includes the company exhibition hall (an SME export expo), one-on-one business consultations, a startup competition, and opening and closing ceremonies. It also features a steering committee of about 40 overseas Korean entrepreneurs that reviews and decides key matters, a general meeting of the "Leading CEO" advisory group of 59 overseas Korean CEOs from 17 countries, and a general meeting of the Young Business Leaders Network (YBLN), a group of next-generation entrepreneurs.
The exhibition hall, in Halls 1–3 of Songdo Convensia, comprises SME product displays (booths), local-government promotion pavilions, one-on-one consultations, and an IR stage. On a scale of about 460 booths, it showcases mainly general consumer goods, including K-Food, K-Beauty, household goods and appliances, and innovative products. About 300 buyers will take part.
Registration from June 1 · free of charge
Registration runs from June 1, 2026, until the closing notice. There are three categories: overseas Korean entrepreneur (Buyer), exhibiting company (Seller), and general visitor (Visitor). Registration is free, though companies taking exhibition booths pay a fee.
Applications are made individually on the Hansang Net website (www.hansang.net). After logging in (membership required), applicants complete and submit the convention registration page. Overseas buyers take part in the exhibition hall and one-on-one consultations, and are provided with two dinners, a cultural tour program, and admission to the Korean Festival as standard; other support such as airfare and lodging requires separate inquiry.
Inquiries about the convention can be directed to the Overseas Koreans Agency's Overseas Korean Economic Support Division (officer Hwang In-yong, iyhwang11@korea.kr).
